POUND CAKE



To make this cake, I will need the following ingredients:

°6 large eggs, beaten.
°2 cups of brown sugar.
°1 c butter,.
°2 cups softened cream cheese.
°4 teaspoons of lemon zest.
°1/2 cup lemon juice.
°2 cups cake flour.
°A pinch of salt.
+For the Glaze I used:
°2 teaspoons of butter.
°1 cup powdered sugar.
°1/2 cup lemon juice.

* INSTRUCTIONS :

Step 1:
I preheated the oven to 350 degrees F and greased a tube pan with cooking spray.
2nd step:
I mixed the flour and salt in a bowl.
Step 3:
Then I used an electric mixer and using its bowl beat the butter with the cream cheese and brown sugar, added the egg yolks and beat for another 3 minutes.
Step 4:
I added the lemon zest and juice and stir occasionally. In a separate bowl, I beat the egg whites until soft and added to the cake batter.
Step 5:
I poured the batter into a buttered pan and baked for 1 hour.
Step 6:
I took it out of the oven and let it cool, meanwhile I made the glaze by melting butter in the microwave, adding powdered sugar and lemon juice and stirring, until the icing has a good consistency for drizzling. 
Step 7:
I drizzled the frosting over the cake and left it in the fridge for 1 hour.
