We won’t be seeing anymore of Dr. Phil

 


After announcing the imminent end to his 21-year long talk show, famous daytime television psychologist, "Dr. Phil" McGraw, promises his audience that his departure doesn't mark the end of his television presence.

"Dr. Phil", a prominent derivative of Oprah Winfrey's show that once dominated daytime TV, rose to fame after frequent appearances as a guest on Winfrey's program. This Texas native's show first aired in September 2002.

McGraw conveyed in a statement, "Through our show, we've been able to support thousands of guests and millions of viewers dealing with diverse issues ranging from addiction and marriage to mental health and parenting. It's been a remarkable chapter of my life and career, but despite exiting my day job, there's still so much I want to accomplish."

The exact date for the final episode of Dr. Phil remains undetermined, as the broadcast TV season generally wraps up in spring.
