Ribeye Steak


°Ingredients of grilled rib steak with thyme
°1 XXL rib steak of 400g or 2 beef rib steaks of 220g
°1 sprig of fresh thyme
°1 tablespoon oil
°1 butter
°Salt & pepper from mill

* Methods*

Taking meat out of fridge at least an 1h before cook.
Choose a skillet the size of the steaks to be cooked, but no larger.
Melt the butter and oil mixture to have a very hot pan before placing the meat. Placing meat on very hot pan & moving it so that it does not-stick.
Place a sprig of thyme or fine herbs on the meat while cooking the first side.
Depending on the thickness of the meat and the desired doneness (brown, rare, cooked) cook for 2 to 10 minutes per side. Usually 5 minutes is plenty.
Once the desired doneness is reached, let rest for 5 minutes under aluminum foil to let the meat relax while keeping its heat before serving.
