*Ingredients :

°2 tablespoons cornstarch
°2 tablespoons of water
°1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
+The main ingredients
°1 lb beef round steak / strips
°4 cups broccoli
°1 small onion
°2 carrots
°2 tablespoons vegetable oil
°1/3 cup sodium-reduced soy sauce
°2 tablespoons brown sugar
°1 teaspoon ground ginger
°1 tablespoon cornstarch
°1/2 cup of water

* Directions:

Coating: In a bowl, combine the cornstarch, water and garlic powder. Blend until smooth. Mix the beef into this mixture.
Sauce: In a bowl, combine soy, brown sugar, ground ginger, cornstarch and water. Blend until smooth.
In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, sauté the beef in 1 tablespoon of oil until the beef is browned. Remove and keep warm.
Sauté the broccoli, carrots and onion in the remaining oil. Add beef and sauce.
Cook for about 3 minutes, stirring constantly to ensure even cooking.
Serve over rice.
