CUBE-STEAK


*ingredients:

°2 pounds steak cubes (about 4 pieces)
°2 tsp. kosher salt
°1 1/2 tsp. Ground black pepper
°1 c. flour
°2 tsp. garlic powder
°1 tsp. Vegetable oil
°1 large yellow onion, cut into 1/2-inch rings
°3 tbsp. butter
°1 (1 ounce) onion soup mix
°1 1/2 c. water

* Directions :

Seasoning steaks with salt / pepper. Mix the flour and garlic powder in a large shallow dish and scoop steaks together. Reserve the remaining mixture dredge.
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the oil. Fry the steaks in batches until golden, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer the steaks to a plate.
Reduce heat to medium & adding onions to skillet. Cook, scraping down the bottom of the skillet, until the onions are softened and turning golden, about 10 minutes.
Melt the butter in the onions, then sprinkle with the onion soup mixture and 1 tablespoon of the reserved dredging mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until boiling and beginning to turn golden, another 10 minutes.
Gradually add water, a quarter cup at a time. Leave it to simmer until the broth thickens. Transfer the steaks to the skillet with the sauce and toss to coat.
Serve the steaks with the broth.
