Crescent-Cheese-Danish


Ingredients

°2 tubes of prepared croissant dough
°8 ounces cream cheese
°2 tablespoons butter, unsalted and melted
°1 teaspoon lemon juice
°¼ cup light brown sugar
°½ cup white granulated sugar
°1 teaspoon vanilla extract
+Icing:
°½ cup powdered sugar
°4 teaspoons of milk
°1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

FIRST STEP:
Preheat the oven to 350*
Line baking sheet with paper
SECOND STEP:
Open the tubes of croissant dough, do not unroll them
In medium bowl, combine cream cheese, lemon juice, vanilla and granulated sugar until well blended.
THIRD STEP:
Using  sharp knife, cutting thick slice of ½” to ¾” slices from croissant roll. Again, don't unroll it.
Place each of these slices on the baking sheets covered with parchment paper
FOURTH STEP:
With each slice, use your fingers to create a slight raised edge on the dough. This will hold the filling
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with the light brown sugar and mix
FIFTH STEP:
Using a pastry brush, brush each slice with butter.
Place equal amounts of filling on each slice
STEP SIX:
Bake for 15 to 17 minutes, or until lightly browned
In another small bowl, mix the icing sugar with the vanilla and milk and stir to combine.
STEP SEVEN:
Drizzle glaze over each cheese danish
The danish can then be top with your choice of fruit .
