Creamed Chipped Beef


°1 jar dried beef, thinly sliced
°4 tablespoons butter
°4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
°4 cups full fat milk
°pepper to taste


Melt the butter in a heavy skillet over medium heat. Add the flour to the pan and whisk for several minutes to remove the raw flour taste. Slowly pour in the milk, whisking constantly until a thick sauce forms. Add pepper to taste and stir with the dried beef. Serve over toasted bread generously buttered.
