Southern Shrimp


°1 cup oatmeal
°2 cups of milk
°1 1/4 cup vegetable broth
°3 tbsp. butter
°1 C cheddar cheese
°12 oz. shrimp
°1 slice thickly sliced ​​bacon, cubed
°2 cloves garlic
°1 small onion, thinly sliced
°12 oz small diced tomatoes
°1 cup vegetable broth
°1/2 tsp. Kosher salt
°1/4 tsp.  Cayenne
°1 dash of cinnamon
°4 tbsp. parsley for garnish

* Instructions :

Bring the milk and vegetable oil to a boil and slowly add the oats 1/4 cup at a time. Stirring to avoid lumps.
Add the butter and cook over low heat for about 20 minutes.
Adding cheese and stir to combine.
While the oatmeal is cooking, start cooking the shrimp.
Prepare the shrimp.
In a small dish, mix the salt, cayenne pepper and cinnamon.
Start cooking the bacon in a nonstick skillet.
Once the bacon begins to brown, add the onion and garlic and continue to cook until the onion is translucent.
Add the prawns and cook until the prawns start to turn pink. Sprinkle with the spice mix.
Add tomatoes and vegetable broth.
Cook 2-3 minutes.
Divide oatmeal evenly among 4 bowls and top with shrimp.
