Seven-tier 30-minute salad

°1 pound bacon
°1 head of iceberg lettuce – rinsed, dried / chopped
°1 red onion
°1 pack (10 ounces) froze green peas
°10 ounces grated cheddar cheese
°1 cup chopped cauliflower
°1 ¼ cup mayonnaise
°2 tablespoons of white sugar
°⅔ cup grated parmesan

Add the bacon to a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat until evenly browned. Crumble and set aside
Place chopped lettuce in a large flat bowl, top with onion, peas, shredded cheese, cauliflower and bacon.
Prepare your vinaigrette by whisking the mayonnaise, sugar and parmesan together. Drizzle on salad, refrigerate to chil.
Unfortunately, freezing a layered salad (or any salad recipe) is not a good idea. Frozen vegetables are mushy, and after thawing the mayonnaise cracks and separates.
The ideal time to prepare a layered salad overnight is the day before or at most four hours. Any sooner & dressing will making salad  some soggy. Be sure to arrange it well, put the dressing on the rim, cover it with plastic wrap or in a jar with an airtight lid, and keep it cold until ready to serve.

Enjoy !
