FUDGE PUDDING CAKE


*INGREDIENTS:

+CAKE:
°1 c flour (or plain flour)
°1/2 cup white granulated sugar
°1/4 cup cocoa powder*
°2 teaspoons of yeast
°1/4 tsp salt
°3/4 cup milk
°1/4 c butter
°1 tsp vanilla extract
+FUDGE-SAUCE:
°1/2 c white sugar
°1/3 c brown sugar
 °3 tsp cocoa powder  (*See notes)
°1-1/4 cup boiling water

*INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven 350°F (175°C). Grease 9-inch square pan*. Pre-boil water in  kettle while prepare cake.
FOR THE CAKE:
Mix 1/2 cup granulated sugar with flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Add milk, butter and vanilla; whisk until smooth and lump-free.
Pour batter into prepared pan or baking dish and spread evenly.
FOR THE SAUCE:
Combine remaining 1/2 cup white sugar, brown sugar and remaining 3 tablespoons cocoa powder. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the dough. Slowly pour boiling water over top (DO NOT STIR OR MIX INTO DOUGH. LET WATER SETTLE ON TOP).
Bake 35 minutes or until center is almost set. Remove from oven. Leave to cool for 15 minutes.
Serve in dessert dishes with ice cream or whipped cream, and spoon the fudge sauce from the bottom of the pan on top of each cake serving.
