Fried Apple Pie


*INGREDIENTS:

°2 cups dried apples or dried peaches.
°1 cup lukewarm water.
°3 tablespoons of granulated sugar.
°1 tablespoon of butter.
°1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder.
°1 box of jumbo refrigerated puff cookies.
°vegetable oil for frying.

*INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP 1:
In a saucepan, combine the dried apples and water. Covering & simmer for 30 min.
2ND STEP:
Remove from heat and allow to cool, add sugar and butter, mix well and set aside.
STEP 3:
Roll each cookie into a circle and spoon 1 tablespoon apple mixture over half.
STEP 4:
To seal the pies, moisten the edges of the circles. Fold in half making sure the edges are even. Utilize a fork dipped in flour, press edges to seal.
STEP 5:
In a heavy-bottomed skillet, heat the oil and fry the pies over medium heat until golden brown.
STEP 6:
Drain well on paper & sprinkling cinnamon sugar on pies.
