Shirley Temple Cake

*Ingredients : 

+For cake:
°1 12 cups butter (soft)
°three cups granulated sugar
°five big eggs
°three cups flour
°2 teaspoons lemon extract
°3/4 cup 7up
°10 oz. maraschino cherries 

+For glazing:
°2 cups powdered sugar
°1 teaspoon lemon extract
°three-four tablespoons of milk

 * instructions:

Heat the oven to 325 degrees.
In a big bowl, blend collectively butter (1 half of cups or three sticks) and sugar till mild and fluffy.
Add eggs and retain blend till blended.
Add the flour and blend time more till the mix is smooth.
Pour in lemon extract and 7UP and whisk till combined.
Fold the cherry.
Grease the ghee mildew with ghee, then sprinkle it with flour.
Spread the mixture in a greased and floured tray and bake for an hour and a 1\/2 or till the center is done.
Leave the cake to chill for 10-15 mins withinside the pan.
Invert the cake onto a serving plate and permit it cool slightly, then use a skewer with holes all around the top of the cake and slowly pour the reserved cherry juice over the top ensuring to soak withinside the juice. It's k to seep to the lowest to soak, too.
Let it cool completely.
Meanwhile, blend the glaze ingredients collectively and sprinkle over the surface of the cake.
Add more cherries if desired.
