Lemon loaf recipe



We are proud to present our first lemon poppy seed bread!This cake-shaped bread is as delicious for dessert as it is for breakfast,  as well as a good tea.For a double dose of citrus, garnish with lemon cream.

*Ingredients :

°265g un.bleached flour
°10 ml (2 tsp) baking-powder
°1/2 cup (115 g) soft unsalted butter
°265 g sugar
°3 lemons, finely grated
°3 eggs
°½ cup (125 ml) lemon juice
°1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
+lemon frosting
°130 g (1 cup) icing sugar
°30 ml (2 tsp) lemon juice

* Methods

Placing grill in middle of oven. Heat oven 180°C (350°F). Butter 25 *10 cm (10 x 4 inch) loaf pan that holds 1.5 L (6 cups). Covering pan with butter paper & leave it on both sides.
In bowl, blend flour with poppy seeds & baking powder.
In other bowl, beat butter with sugar also lemon peel with an electric blender . Add the eggs and mix until the mixture is homogeneous. Adding dried ingredients with lemon juice & milk. Pour mix to mould.
Baking about 1 h  Allow to cool completely on a wire rack. Anmol.
Lemon Frost
In  bowl, blend powder  sugar with lemon juice to cream begin smooth.
Putting lemon bread on a serve plate. Pour decorating cream on bread.
