Light angel cake sprinkled with cream and strawberries.A delicious dessert to enjoy at a spring or summer party.It always reminds me of new beginnings.In the southeast, we are beginning to see signs of spring.Trees and daffodils began to bloom, and the weather gradually became warmer.When I finished school, my mother gave me one of my favorite gifts-a box containing her favorite recipes.This is a new beginning because I live alone in the university.
These are recipes I made and recipes passed down through our family.When I was not in school, my mother thought I could do this for myself and my friends.
* ingredients :
° 1 baked angel food cake (I use boxed mix for mine)
° 2 8-ounce pack cheese , soft
° 1 large 16-ounce tub, frozen shake
° 2 cups powdered sugar
° 1 liter strawberries, thinly sliced
° 1/2 cup sugar
° 1 14 ounce strawberry glaze
* Directions :
In a small bowl, mix together strawberry slices and 12 cups of sugar.Keep it in the refrigerator for at least an hour.After the strawberries have cooled and gently squeezed the juice, add the strawberry frosting.In a blender, beat the frozen whipped cream cheese and powdered sugar to a creamy shape.Spoon the cream mixture onto a 9"x 13" plate.Cut the angel cake into 1/2 inch pieces and place the cake on the cream mixture.Dip a few pieces of cake into the cream carefully.Add the strawberry mixture. refrigeration.
