Old Fashioned Goulash

My grandmother's old recipe for goulash (we also called it Johnny Marzetti interchangeably, but it's also known as American goulash or American chop suey) was one of the signature dishes of my childhood.

There's just something so warm and comforting about a big bowl of old goulash with some melted cheddar cheese on top. Honestly, I can eat stuff every day and never get tired of it!

* Ingredients:

° 2 lbs roasted ground beef with 1/2 large onion

° 1/2 green pepper, diced

° 3 tsp minced garlic

° 3 tsp. red pepper flakes

° 1 whole corn kernels can be drained

° 2 cans of mushrooms

° 1 can 14.5 ounces chopped tomatoes

° 15 oz can tomato sauce with 12 cups water

° 1/4 tsp. All salt and pepper

° 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce.

* methods :

Simmers about 20-25 minutes.

Then add 2 cups cooked pasta as directed last. I always serve this with cornbread.

Enjoy it !
