Peanut Butter Lunch Lady Cookie Bars

 


This recipe for Frosted Peanut Butter Bars is inexpensive, easy, and delicious 🥰 🥰 🥰 !!! Once you try this recipe, I promise it will be the usual go-to for dessert in your home !!




YOU'LL NEED :


- Flour: 2 cups 

- Sugar: 2 cups 

- Eggs: 2 large (beaten)

- Peanut butter: 1 ½ cup (divided)

- Unsalted butter: 1 ½ cups (3 sticks) *softened

- Milk: ½ cup, plus 2 tablespoons (divided)

- Baking soda: 1 teaspoon 

- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon 

- Salt: 1 teaspoon 

- Powdered sugar: 4 cups 



DIRECTIONS : 



1. Before you start the preparation, start your oven to preheat to 400°F and grease a large cookie sheet or line with parchment paper.



2. You can then mix together dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt) and set aside.



3. Immediately whisk ½ cup milk, vanilla extract, eggs and set aside.



4. Then you're going to get a saucepan and melt in together 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter and 1 cup peanut butter, bring to a boil. Ok, go ahead and remove from heat. You'll want to add slowly flour mixture, followed by milk and egg mixture and mix until well combined.



5. Make sure batter is poured onto cookie sheet, spreading batter evenly to edges. Now, bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, it takes around 20 minutes. And please cool completely before frosting.



6. To make the frosting, bring 1 stick butter and ½ cup peanut butter in a saucepan to a boil. You can then add 2 tablespoons milk and slowly mix in powdered sugar until well combined. At this stage, frosting should be poured over cake, spreading evenly to edges. Finally, you need to allow frosting to cool and set before serving.
