The No Bake cookies are a childhood
favorite! This recipe has the perfect mix of classic chocolate and peanut
butter flavor and the perfect chewy texture. And I'm sure they are the easiest
cookies on the planet!
I haven't made oatmeal cookies for as long
as I can remember. It's one of the first things I learned as a kid, I would
prepare it for my family on the weekends because my mom didn't care much about
the candy (be sure to supervise the kids when making it!).
They were always craving something sweet
and were ready to eat in no time. Plus everyone in my family loved them, and
I'm more sure of that.
This is roughly the same recipe I ate when
I was younger, but I have added a little more cocoa and peanut butter here, so
why not ?? It's a flavor combination that I can never resist!
* You will need:
° Butter: 12 cup
° Sugar: 2 cups
° Milk: 1/2 cup
° Cocoa powder: 1/4 cup
° Peanut butter: 3/4 cup
° Vanilla: 2 tsp
° Quick-cook oats: 3 1/2 cups
* Steps to do this:
Step 1:
First, you can add butter, sugar, milk, and
cocoa powder to a large saucepan or high-sided skillet.
Step 2:
Make sure to melt together, let it boil for
one minute, then remove from heat.
Step 3:
You can then add peanut butter and vanilla
and whisk until the mixture is smooth and mixed.
The fourth step:
Well now, you may want to add oats while
stirring until fully covered and coated.
Fifth step:
Once done, place a piece of parchment paper
on a flat surface. Immediately scoop about 2 heaping tablespoons into piles on
parchment paper using a cookie scooper or ice cream scooper. And please leave
it on for 20 minutes.
